Rekrut.ru Announces CS Tournament
Rekrut.ru, a brand new Russian E-Sports community, has announced it will be holding a Counter-Strike tournament this December. The event, called the Rekrut.ru Championship 2008, is being held to celebrate the launch of Rekruit.ru and will be open to both professional and amateur teams. The professional tournament will feature sixteen teams, eight of which will be invited by the organization, while the remaining eight spots will be decided through a LAN qualifier. In all, the event will feature a total prize purse of $30,000, $24,000 for the professional tournament and $6,000 for the amateur one.
The event will be held December 14th at the 4Game Gaming Center in Moscow. The qualifier for the amateur event will take place on December 13th at the Click-Net Gaming Center, also in Moscow.
